Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Payroll/HR Administrator to join our team in Canandaigua, New York. In this role, you will oversee payroll processes for multiple entities and provide essential HR support. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll and a passion for ensuring accurate and efficient operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage weekly payroll processing for approximately 75-90 employees across multiple entities, including union-based staff
  • Handle certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements for union employees, coordinating with Procore for reporting
  • Administer truck allowances and travel pay for employees working on out-of-town projects
  • Maintain payroll data accuracy by reviewing hours entered through ProCore by project managers
  • Process year-end bonuses and ensure compliance with payroll deadlines
  • Generate offer letters and assist with basic HR tasks such as recruiting and employee relations
  • Collaborate with HR Works to address outsourced HR needs and maintain compliance
  • Communicate payroll and HR updates effectively to relevant stakeholders
  • Provide support for discretionary profit-sharing and 401(k) plan administration
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in payroll and HR functions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration
  • Familiarity with construction industry payroll processes, including union and certified payroll, is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Paylocity software is a strong advantage
  • Experience handling multi-state payroll operations
  • Knowledge of HR practices, including generating offer letters and addressing employee relations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday with flexible hours
