Hannah Savage with Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll / HR Administrator to manage weekly payroll and provide day-to-day HR support across multiple entities within her client's organization based out of Gorham, NY. This role supports approximately 75–90 employees, with payroll volume fluctuating seasonally. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a construction/project-based environment.
Job Responsibility:
Process weekly payroll (primarily hourly employees) for multiple entities
Review and process timecards entered by Project Managers
Support year-end bonus processing
Handle limited certified payroll and prevailing wage rates
Provide basic HR support
Generating offer letters
Supporting recruiting and hiring efforts
Assisting with employee relations matters
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with internal processes
Requirements:
Experience processing weekly payroll for hourly employees
Familiarity with construction or project-based payroll strongly preferred
Experience with Paylocity a plus
Exposure to certified payroll, union payroll, or prevailing wage is beneficial but not required
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
Ability to communicate professionally with employees, managers, and external partners
Nice to have:
