Walpole Public Schools is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our Business Office. Job Responsibility:
Process bi-weekly payroll for over 900 employees using MUNIS, including managing new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments
Maintain accurate payroll records and salary tables while auditing time and attendance data via SmartFind
Ensure strict adherence to all federal, state, and contractual requirements, including monthly MTRS reporting and year-end W-2 coordination
Oversee specialized payroll and benefit deductions while supporting payroll-related aspects of the district budget and grant-funded positions
Acts as a helpful resource for the district, answering payroll related questions with clarity and care to ensure every interaction is both professional and supportive
Partner closely with Human Resources and other departments to ensure seamless administrative operations across the district
Requirements:
Associate degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
Minimum of two to three years’ payroll experience, preferably in a municipal or school setting
