Job Description

A growing healthcare organization in Encinitas is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support payroll processing, employee payroll inquiries, and payroll administration functions for a multi-department workforce. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in detail-oriented environments and thrives in positions requiring accuracy, organization, and strong follow-through. The Payroll Coordinator will work closely with HR and accounting teams to help ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with company policies and payroll regulations.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with biweekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees
  • Review timesheets, overtime, and payroll adjustments for accuracy
  • Maintain payroll records and employee payroll updates
  • Process deductions, garnishments, and payroll-related changes
  • Support payroll audits and reporting processes
  • Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information
  • Support payroll compliance and documentation requirements
  • Assist with onboarding payroll setup and employee record updates
  • Coordinate with HR regarding employee status changes and payroll updates

Requirements

  • 2+ years of payroll or payroll support experience preferred
  • Healthcare, medical office, or multi-location payroll experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Paycom, UKG, or similar payroll systems preferred
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency required

Nice to have

  • Healthcare, medical office, or multi-location payroll experience is a plus
