A growing organization in Oklahoma is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support accurate and timely payroll processing while providing light HR administrative support. This role partners closely with accounting, leadership, and employees to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with payroll systems while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Job Responsibility
Process and support weekly/biweekly payroll, ensuring accuracy of wages, deductions, and employee data within the payroll/HRIS system
Review and validate timekeeping records, resolving discrepancies and partnering with managers as needed
Maintain payroll records, including updates to employee information, tax withholdings, and direct deposit details
Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and company regulations
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll-related questions
Provide administrative HR support, including onboarding paperwork and new hire documentation
Assist with benefits administration such as enrollments, changes, and employee communications
Maintain employee files and ensure documentation is accurate and compliant
Support workers’ compensation reporting and general HR processes as needed
Identify opportunities to improve payroll and HR administrative processes and support system enhancements
Requirements
2+ years of experience in payroll processing, with exposure to HR administrative functions
Experience working with HRIS/payroll systems (Paycom, ADP, UKG, or similar)
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, including wage and hour laws and tax withholdings
Familiarity with onboarding processes, benefits administration, and basic HR compliance requirements
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
