Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves managing payroll operations for a large workforce, ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations, and maintaining accurate employee records. Based in San Francisco, California, this position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee all aspects of payroll processing for over 2,000 employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now to manage payroll cycles, maintain employee records, and address system-related issues
  • Ensure timely submission of tax filings, benefit deductions, garnishments, and other payroll-related adjustments
  • Partner with HR and Finance teams to reconcile payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and support audits as needed
  • Research and apply updates to payroll laws and regulations, implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive payroll information
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance
  • Troubleshoot payroll issues and provide solutions to ensure smooth operations
  • Develop and maintain payroll reports for internal and external use, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of payroll processing experience, including handling payroll for over 2,000 employees
  • Proficiency in multi-state payroll operations and compliance
  • Strong expertise in ADP Workforce Now
  • Familiarity with payroll processes in industries such as AI, Tech, or SaaS is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle payroll operations with accuracy and efficiency
  • Solid understanding of payroll tax filings, garnishments, and benefits deductions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with HR and Finance teams
