Our client is looking to fill the role of Payroll Coordinator. The role is contract and comp is $25-$35 per hour (range varies based on level of skillset). Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location.
Job Responsibility:
Process and review weekly payroll for all hourly and salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now
Ensure payroll accuracy by verifying hours, earnings, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments
Manage payroll compliance, with a strong understanding of Washington wage and hour laws, overtime rules, and state/local tax regulations
Maintain payroll records and ensure timely updates to employee data, tax information, and direct deposits
Collaborate with HR and Accounting to reconcile payroll data, benefit deductions, and general ledger entries
Respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
Support quarterly and year-end activities including W-2s, tax filings, and audits
Stay current with payroll-related laws and ADP system enhancements to ensure continued compliance and efficiency
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
3+ years of payroll processing experience in a manufacturing or similar environment required
Strong proficiency with ADP (Workforce Now preferred) required
Experience processing payroll following Washington laws and regulations
In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour compliance, and tax regulations
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large data sets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to confidentiality
Nice to have:
Knowledge of California laws and regulations would be preferred, but not required, to assist with payroll processors at our other divisions
