As a Payroll Coordinator, you will oversee the day-to-day payroll operations for ICE, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on schedule. This role provides leadership to Payroll Assistants, supports departments with payroll-related inquiries, and ensures compliance with employment standards and internal timelines. This position is well suited to an experienced payroll professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee all aspects of payroll processing, including verification of employee time sheets using Ceridian Dayforce
Ensure payroll deadlines and time lines are consistently met
Provide supervision, guidance, and support to Payroll Assistants
Audit Records of Employment (ROEs) for accuracy and compliance
Act as a liaison between payroll and other departments regarding payroll matters
Respond to payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
Complete related administrative duties as assigned
Promote teamwork and positive workplace culture
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Payroll, Accounting, or a related field
Working knowledge of Employment Standards and payroll regulations
Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a strong asset
Previous supervisory or leadership experience
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
