Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll/Compensation Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This contract-to-permanent position requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual to manage payroll operations and compensation planning for a multi-state workforce. You will play a vital role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in payroll processes while contributing to the development of compensation strategies.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee and process bi-weekly payroll operations for a multi-state workforce of over 400 employees
  • Conduct detailed audits to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with leadership on compensation planning, including salary adjustments and bonus allocations
  • Perform payroll analysis and assist in implementing compensation strategies
  • Manage employee performance evaluation processes and integrate results into compensation planning
  • Support the transition of outsourced payroll to an in-house system
  • Utilize payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now and UKG Pro to enhance operational efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state payroll regulations across all locations
  • Address and resolve payroll-related discrepancies with attention to detail
  • Provide insights and recommendations on pay factors and compensation analysis

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in payroll and compensation management
  • Expertise in full-cycle payroll processing for large organizations
  • Proficiency in multi-state payroll operations and compliance
  • Strong familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and UKG Pro systems
  • Demonstrated ability to perform compensation analysis and planning
  • Exceptional attention to detail and auditing skills
  • Knowledge of SAP and other payroll-related tools
  • Ability to manage sensitive data with professionalism and discretion
