Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our client's team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This position is within the non-profit sector and offers a Contract to permanent employment opportunity. The role primarily involves processing payroll tasks, resolving employee inquiries, and ensuring the accuracy of payroll data in a collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process payroll for approximately 1,800-2,000 employees with precision and adherence to deadlines
  • Ensure compliance by verifying and cross-referencing payroll data for accuracy
  • Address and resolve employee inquiries by researching and providing timely responses
  • Utilize payroll systems, including Kronos and UKG Pro, to maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with HR to manage service desk tickets and resolve system-related issues
  • Support out-of-cycle payroll processing when necessary, including obtaining required approvals
  • Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies
  • Assist with benefits-related payroll functions, ensuring accurate deductions and contributions
  • Work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • Provide support during system implementations and updates when required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • college degree preferred
  • Proficiency with payroll systems such as Kronos, UKG Pro, and UKG Ready
  • Experience in auditing and cross-referencing payroll data
  • Familiarity with accounting functions and benefit processing
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while adhering to deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve payroll-related issues
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees and team members
  • Knowledge of accounting software systems and timekeeping platforms
