Job Description

Our client seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations through accurate data entry, employee record updates, and timecard processing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, repetitive work, strong accuracy, and supporting a fast-paced payroll team. You will play a key role in ensuring employee time and payroll data is entered correctly and maintained in compliance with company policies and payroll deadlines.

Job Responsibility

  • Enter employee timecards accurately into payroll systems
  • Input and update employee payroll data (new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions)
  • Verify timekeeping records for completeness and accuracy
  • Assist with processing weekly/bi-weekly payroll cycles
  • Maintain and update employee payroll files and system records
  • Ensure data integrity across payroll and HR systems
  • Track and correct missing or inconsistent time entries
  • Assist payroll administrators with routine processing tasks
  • Respond to basic payroll-related inquiries or escalate as needed
  • Support audits by retrieving and organizing payroll documentation

Requirements

  • 1+ years of administrative, HR, or payroll support experience preferred
  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with payroll or timekeeping systems (ADP, UKG, Paychex, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic office software
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle repetitive tasks reliably
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Exposure to payroll processing or HR operations
  • Experience working with time and attendance systems
  • Basic understanding of payroll concepts (gross pay, deductions, overtime, etc.)
  • Associates degree or coursework in business/HR/accounting
