Support the preparation and completion of weekly payroll cycles, helping ensure employees are paid correctly and on time
Review timesheets, pay rates, labor allocations, and employee data to confirm payroll information is complete and accurate before processing
Calculate earnings, overtime, deductions, garnishments, and benefits in alignment with applicable laws and company policies
Update payroll records to reflect status changes, compensation adjustments, and other employee-related updates
Research and help resolve payroll questions, discrepancies, and payment issues in coordination with internal staff and management
Organize payroll files and supporting documentation for audits, reconciliations, and regulatory review
Assist with departmental administrative tasks, reporting activities, and payroll-related process improvement initiatives, including system updates when needed
Requirements:
2-3+ years of payroll experience
Experience with construction payroll or certified payroll environments is a plus
Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong numerical aptitude with a high level of accuracy and close attention to detail
Experience handling deductions, garnishments, and employee payroll changes within a multi-employee payroll setting
Ability to protect confidential information and manage sensitive records with professionalism
Nice to have:
Experience with construction payroll or certified payroll environments is a plus
