We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Lewisville, Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience managing full-cycle payroll processes in a construction industry setting, demonstrating exceptional accuracy and organizational skills. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle diverse payroll tasks while supporting both accounting and human resources functions.
Job Responsibility:
Process weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Audit timesheets and verify job codes to maintain compliance with company standards
Manage deductions, garnishments, and payroll adjustments in accordance with regulations
Assist with payroll audits and provide detailed reports as needed
Collaborate with accounting to support payroll-related activities and resolve discrepancies
Serve as a backup for HR in payroll-related tasks
Utilize Sage or similar payroll systems to execute payroll functions effectively
Provide bilingual Spanish support, if applicable, to enhance communication and service
Maintain organized records and documentation for payroll compliance and reporting
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll, preferably in the construction industry
Proficiency in Sage or similar payroll software
Strong understanding of payroll processes, including garnishments, deductions, and adjustments
Ability to audit timesheets and manage job codes accurately
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with accounting and HR departments
Nice to have:
Experience handling certified payroll is preferred
Bilingual Spanish skills are highly advantageous
