We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining compliance with tax laws and regulations, and addressing employee payroll inquiries. This is a Long-term Contract position with opportunities to contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Calculate employee wages, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation based on hours worked and salary structure
Process payroll taxes, deductions, and garnishments in compliance with legal and company policies
Maintain and update payroll records to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist in preparing payroll reports and performing reconciliation tasks
Respond to employee questions and concerns regarding payroll issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll processes meet internal and regulatory standards
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to internal controls
Monitor payroll systems for accuracy and address discrepancies as needed
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate numerical calculations
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software
Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and wage calculation methods
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively
Experience handling confidential information with discretion
High school diploma required
associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
0–2 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or a similar field
