Robert Half is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to assist with payroll processing and administrative support for a dynamic and growing organization. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values accuracy and confidentiality.
Job Responsibility:
Collect and verify employee timecards and data for payroll processing
Enter and maintain payroll data in the payroll system with a high level of accuracy
Prepare and distribute paychecks and manage direct deposits
Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Assist with employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, benefits, or other related matters
Support payroll audits, including collecting and organizing relevant documentation
Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Perform general administrative tasks to support the HR and finance departments
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
1-2+ years of payroll experience or data entry experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment
Proficiency in payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
Familiarity with payroll rules, tax regulations, and compliance standards is a plus
