Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Clerk to support a high‑volume, fast‑paced payroll operation. The Payroll Clerk will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple sites and union environments. The ideal Payroll Clerk is detail‑oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a deadline‑driven setting. Prior track record of being reliable and capable of working alongside a team where your willingness to jump in where needed is required. This contract to potential permanent opportunity is located in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be onsite 5 days a week.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review and audit time and attendance data for accuracy and compliance
  • Process manual timecard entries, missed punches, and meal penalty adjustments
  • Audit crew sheets and payroll reports across multiple locations
  • Enter payroll updates including rate changes, union codes, and employee information
  • Support payroll processing through Kronos/UKG and SAP
  • Assist with closing prior pay periods and preparing payroll batches
  • Print, audit, and distribute payroll checks (high volume)
  • Manage shared payroll inbox and respond to employee inquiries
  • Answer phones and provide payroll support to field employees
  • Escalate complex payroll issues to corporate payroll as needed
  • Monitor shared inbox and provide employee support over phone & email

Requirements:

  • 1–3+ years of experience in payroll, timekeeping, or high‑volume data processing
  • Experience with Kronos/UKG and/or SAP strongly preferred, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage repetitive tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and deadline‑focused
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team‑oriented mindset with flexibility to support coworkers

Nice to have:

Experience with Kronos/UKG and/or SAP strongly preferred
