We are looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our team in El Paso, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring payroll operations run smoothly while contributing to the efficiency of our organization. Job Responsibility:
Verify the accuracy of hourly and salaried timesheets, ensuring all hours are correctly reported
Coordinate and monitor work schedules, making adjustments as necessary
Update and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track hours and integrate data into team calendars
Organize and file payroll-related documents, including timesheets and other records
Handle check requests and support batching processes
Draft letters and manage reimbursements, including preparing envelopes and distributing payments
Collaborate with team members to address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Maintain compliance with payroll regulations, including garnishments and deductions
Assist with full-cycle payroll processing for employees across various departments
Requirements:
Proven experience with payroll processes, including full-cycle payroll
Familiarity with payroll systems for organizations with 101-500 employees
Strong understanding of garnishments and payroll deductions
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
Ability to work collaboratively in an office environment
Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance standards
