We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Petersburg, Virginia. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position where you will play a key role in managing payroll operations and supporting other HR functions. The role requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy, as you will handle payroll processing, benefits administration, and recruitment tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Process payroll for a workforce of 50-60 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Manage full-cycle payroll operations, including calculations, deductions, and adjustments
Handle garnishments and other payroll-related compliance requirements
Support corporate recruitment efforts to attract and onboard new talent
Administer employee benefits and facilitate enrollment processes
Utilize ADP systems to efficiently manage payroll and HR functions
Maintain accurate records and documentation for payroll and benefits
Collaborate with team members to address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits
Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations
Assist with other administrative tasks as needed within the HR department
Requirements:
Proven experience in payroll processing and administration
Familiarity with full-cycle payroll operations, including deductions and garnishments
Knowledge of ADP payroll systems or similar platforms
Background in corporate recruiting and onboarding processes
Understanding of benefits administration and enrollment procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of federal and state payroll compliance regulations
