We are looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Merritt Island, Florida. This role involves managing payroll processes efficiently while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The position will begin with 1-2 weeks of increased hours and then transition to part-time hours (20-30 hours per week).
Job Responsibility:
Process payroll for employees in accordance with established schedules and policies
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with union payroll requirements
Handle garnishments and other payroll deductions with precision
Verify and manage I-9 compliance for all employees
Utilize ADP systems to input and track employee hours effectively
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to resolve payroll-related discrepancies
Manage payroll for a workforce of 101-500 employees
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of payroll data to stakeholders
Provide support during payroll audits and address inquiries promptly
Assist in the transition from increased hours to part-time hours as required
Requirements:
Proven experience in payroll processing, including full-cycle payroll
Familiarity with managing payroll for organizations with 101-500 employees
Knowledge of union payroll procedures and requirements
Proficiency in handling garnishments and payroll deductions
Experience with ADP payroll systems and related software
Strong understanding of I-9 compliance regulations
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
