We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in El Paso, Texas. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing organization by ensuring accurate payroll processing and administrative support. Job Responsibility:
Verify and review hourly and salaried employee timesheets to ensure all reported hours are accurate
Coordinate and monitor work schedules, addressing any discrepancies as needed
Manage and update Excel spreadsheets to maintain accurate documentation of hours and team schedules
Organize and file payroll-related documents, including timesheets and correspondence
Handle check requests and assist with batching processes for payroll
Draft letters and process reimbursements, including preparing envelopes and distributing payments
Ensure compliance with payroll procedures, including garnishments and other deductions
Collaborate with other team members to support full-cycle payroll operations
Provide administrative support to maintain efficient payroll workflows
Requirements:
Experience in payroll processing, including full-cycle payroll
Familiarity with managing payroll for organizations with 101-500 employees
Knowledge of payroll garnishments and related procedures
Proficiency in Excel and other payroll-related software
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive payroll data
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and employees
Prior experience in an administrative or clerical role supporting payroll operations
