Job Description:

Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our client in Reno, Nevada. This is a long-term contract opportunity ideal for someone who is passionate about payroll operations and administrative support. The role involves processing payroll and providing administrative support for the team as needed. This is a part time job opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review and approve employee timecards to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for a diverse workforce
  • Prepare and maintain payroll-related reports, including tax filings, garnishments, and deductions
  • Conduct audits of I-9 documentation to ensure compliance with employment regulations
  • Verify and cross-reference benefits enrollments and deductions for new hires
  • Scan, organize, and file payroll and HR-related paperwork for record-keeping purposes
  • Assist with reporting and forecasting to support financial planning
  • Coordinate hotel and travel bookings as needed for staff
  • Reconcile payroll accounts to maintain accurate financial records
  • Utilize payroll software to efficiently run and manage payroll operations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and full-cycle payroll management
  • Familiarity with payroll tax reporting and account reconciliation
  • Strong knowledge of employment regulations and compliance, such as I-9 audits
  • Proficiency in payroll software, preferably Paycore or similar platforms
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple payroll cycles with accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and employees
  • Ability to handle administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, and coordinating travel arrangements
