Payroll Clerk

• Process direct deposit entries and verify accuracy of payroll data
• Review and edit employee timesheets for compliance with company policies
• Manage payroll for approximately 900 hourly employees across two facilities
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely weekly payroll processing, especially during peak times on Mondays and Tuesdays
• Maintain accurate records of payroll activities and resolve discrepancies as needed
• Utilize payroll software and tools to streamline payroll operations
• Provide support for union and manufacturing payroll processes when applicable
• Adhere to confidentiality and compliance standards in handling payroll information
• Communicate effectively with employees and management to address payroll-related inquiries

• Proficiency in using payroll systems and tools
• Experience working in ADP software is highly preferred
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis
• Experience managing payroll for 100+ employees is preferred
• Familiarity with union and manufacturing payroll processes is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under deadlines
• Effective communication skills for handling employee inquiries
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in payroll processing or a related field is required
