Payroll Clerk

• Process semimonthly and biweekly payroll for approximately 200 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Manage payroll for both union and non-union workers, addressing specific requirements for each group
• Utilize advanced payroll systems to efficiently handle payroll tasks and maintain employee records
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and provide timely support
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations throughout all processes
• Assist in cross-training activities to prepare for transitions within the payroll team
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll data
• Generate payroll reports and summaries for management review and auditing purposes
• Support the integration and use of payroll software to enhance operational efficiency

• Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably with medium to large-scale organizations
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance standards
• Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency in accounting functions, including auditing and benefit calculations
• Effective communication skills to liaise with employees and management
• Experience with union payroll is a plus
