We are looking for a Payroll Clerk to support accurate and timely payroll operations for an organization in Coshocton, Ohio. The role focuses on processing payroll activities, maintaining documentation, and helping ensure compliance with applicable tax and reporting requirements.
Job Responsibility
Process regular payroll accurately and on schedule for a workforce ranging from approximately 100 to 500 employees
Review timekeeping and payroll data for completeness, resolve discrepancies, and make necessary updates before each payroll cycle
Maintain payroll records, supporting documents, and scanned files in an organized and accessible manner
Respond to employee questions related to pay, deductions, and payroll procedures with a strong customer service approach
Assist with full-cycle payroll tasks, including data entry, verification, calculations, and final payroll submission
Prepare and support payroll tax filings and related reporting to help maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary payroll information and ensure changes are reflected accurately in the system
Requirements
Experience processing payroll in a detail-focused business environment
Working knowledge of full-cycle payroll procedures from data collection through final processing
Ability to manage payroll for employee populations between 101 and 500 staff members
Familiarity with payroll tax returns and payroll-related compliance requirements
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing payroll information and records
Proficiency in scanning, organizing, and maintaining payroll documentation
Effective communication and customer service skills when assisting employees and internal stakeholders
