We are looking for a skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves processing payroll efficiently and accurately while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with the payroll manager and contribute to maintaining a smooth payroll operation.
Job Responsibility:
Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Handle full-cycle payroll tasks, including data entry, calculations, and reporting
Manage payroll for employee groups ranging from 101 to 500 individuals
Address garnishment orders and ensure proper deductions are applied
Collaborate with the payroll manager to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive payroll information
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Monitor payroll systems for errors and implement corrective measures
Provide support during audits or reviews related to payroll operations
Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll inquiries and concerns
Requirements:
Proven experience in payroll processing, including full-cycle payroll
Familiarity with managing payroll for medium-sized employee groups (101-500)
Expertise in handling payroll garnishments and deductions
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
Proficiency in payroll software and systems
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills for addressing payroll-related issues
