The city of Amesbury is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk/Human Resources Assistant to support the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll and benefit invoices for city and School employees. This position also provides administrative support for the city’s Human Resources department.
Job Responsibility
Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accurate deductions, taxes, and reporting
Reconcile benefit deductions and process related invoices
Maintain payroll records, generate reports, and assist with W-2 and 1095-C forms
Support HR functions including onboarding, personnel file management, and employment verifications
Coordinate with city and school departments on payroll and benefit matters.
