We are looking for a highly motivated Payroll & Benefits Specialist to oversee payroll processing and benefits administration in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will ensure accurate payroll operations, support employees with benefits inquiries, and contribute to HR initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience. Job Responsibility:
Process payroll on a weekly and biweekly basis with a focus on accuracy and compliance
Review and validate timesheets to ensure proper reporting of hours worked
Manage garnishments and income withholding orders in compliance with legal requirements
Audit payroll data for deductions, tax withholdings, and wage reporting accuracy
Address system and time clock issues, providing support to remote facilities as needed
Facilitate onboarding, terminations, and employee changes within the payroll system
Assist employees with benefits enrollment and respond to questions regarding coverage
Coordinate disability claims and unemployment processes in collaboration with relevant parties
Conduct audits to maintain data integrity within HR systems and identify areas for improvement
Provide training to managers on payroll and benefits processes to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3 years of payroll and benefits administration experience in organizations with 100+ employees
Familiarity with payroll systems, with iSolved experience preferred
Certification in payroll or benefits administration is advantageous
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and macros
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Willingness to work on-site and adjust schedule to support off-shift operations as needed
Nice to have:
Certification in payroll or benefits administration is advantageous
