Job Description

The town of Berlin is seeking organized, detail-oriented, qualified applicants for the 19-hour-per-week part-time position of Payroll and Benefits Coordinator. This position is responsible for administering the town’s payroll and all aspects of employee benefits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality in all related functions. This position works under the direction of the Treasurer/Collector and supports the efficient operation of the Treasurer/Collector’s office. Associate degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred. Three to five years of progressively responsible administrative or payroll experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The hourly rate for this position is $28.70.
