Job Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll & Benefits Consultant. This role will combine hands-on support for payroll and benefits operations with process optimization, documentation, and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in payroll administration, benefits coordination, and HR systems, along with the ability to adapt as priorities evolve.

Job Responsibility:

  • Administer end-to-end payroll activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate benefits-related operations and help maintain smooth employee benefit administration across programs
  • Maintain and update employee payroll and HR data within Paycom while partnering closely with HR operations resources
  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve issues involving system connections and file transfers between payroll, timekeeping, and related platforms
  • Support the use of TraumaSoft timekeeping data, including oversight of file feed accuracy and operational continuity
  • Drive improvements to payroll and benefits workflows by identifying inefficiencies and implementing more effective processes
  • Develop, organize, and maintain detailed process documentation to support consistency, compliance, and knowledge sharing
  • Produce and enhance reporting deliverables, including updating existing Power BI dashboards and building new reports as business needs arise

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in payroll administration, including full-cycle payroll processing
  • Proven background managing multi-state payroll for organizations with more than 500 employees
  • Hands-on experience with benefits administration and related employee support processes
  • Proficiency with Paycom and familiarity with HRIS platforms and payroll system maintenance
  • Experience working with timekeeping systems and supporting file feed or system integration processes
  • Strong process improvement and documentation skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to balance operational responsibilities with project-based work in a changing environment
