We're looking for an entry level Payroll Assistant to join our friendly and supportive payroll team. If you're organised, detail-oriented and eager to learn, this is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in payroll. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Job Responsibility

  • Assisting with the processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls
  • Uploading payslips and payroll data to secure online platforms (e.g., Sage)
  • Helping to maintain and update employee records with accuracy
  • Supporting the team with reporting tasks and submissions to HMRC
  • Uploading pension information to the appropriate providers
  • Learning to handle payroll queries and provide basic guidance to clients
  • Assisting with manual calculations and understanding statutory payments
  • Learning about deductions such as tax, National Insurance, pensions, and student loans
  • Gaining an understanding of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) submissions
