Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join the team and support the smooth running of Payroll & Pensions function at Tameside College. Integral to ensuring that all payroll and pension contributions are processed accurately and on time, supporting the financial health and compliance of the organisation.

Job Responsibility

  • Processing staff payroll in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation
  • Processing pension administration, including calculating and processing employee and employer deductions, liaising with pension providers, and ensuring correct and timely reporting
  • Maintaining and updating employee payroll records and ensuring that all data is current and accurate
  • Reconciling payroll reports and resolving any discrepancies or issues
  • Assisting with monthly and annual financial reports, providing analysis as needed
  • Assisting with the preparation of budget forecasts and financial planning
  • Ensuring compliance with taxation regulations and staying up-to-date with any changes in payroll or pension legislation
  • Providing support to staff and answering payroll-related queries
  • Collaborating with other finance team members to ensure effective and efficient financial operations
