Job Description

Teuscher Walpole is seeking a well-organized, motivated and detail-oriented Payroll and Bookkeeping Assistant committed to delivering superior client service. In this role, you will work with multiple clients, assisting our accountants with various bookkeeping and payroll tasks. This position is Full-time, in office and the hours will vary 32 to 40 hours a week. Overtime might be required to meet client deadlines.

Job Responsibility

  • Payroll and payroll reporting for our clients
  • Providing support for our firm’s accountants
  • Assist clients with bookkeeping and maintaining financial records
  • Assist clients with general ledgers, updating budgets and issuing checks
  • Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks
  • Builds working relationships at the peer client level
  • Effectively documents work
  • Identifies task issues as well as task progress in a timely and organized manner
  • Build strong team relationship skills

Requirements

  • Previous recent bookkeeping is required
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft and Excel
  • Effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Great organizational skills

Nice to have

Associate degree in accounting a plus but not required
