Job Responsibility:
Execute full-cycle bi-weekly and monthly payroll for employees across Canada and the US using ADP Workforce Now
Manage the administration of comprehensive benefits programs, including health, dental, life insurance, and retirement savings plans
Ensure strict compliance with all Canadian and US payroll legislation, tax requirements, and labor standards
Reconcile payroll-related G/L accounts and prepare detailed financial reports for the business administration and management teams
Process new hires, terminations, salary changes, and taxable benefits with high accuracy
Lead the year-end process, including the preparation and filing of T4s, T4As, and US W-2s
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and leave management
Collaborate with external vendors and insurance brokers to ensure competitive and efficient benefit offerings
Conduct regular internal audits of payroll data to maintain data integrity and security
Continuously identify opportunities to streamline business administration processes and enhance payroll workflows
Requirements:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist
Hands-on experience with both Canadian and US payroll processing is mandatory
Proven expertise using ADP Workforce Now for full-cycle payroll
Completion of (or working towards) a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
Nice to have:
Experience in the professional services industry is considered a strong asset
