Our client is seeking a high-caliber professional to over see their payroll and benefits administration. Job Responsibility:
Support payroll data input and validation for Canada and the USA using ADP and Gusto
Prepare and validate payroll inputs for the human resources team, including new hires, compensation changes, leaves, and bonuses
Ensure all payroll inputs are accurate, complete, and delivered on time for Finance processing each cycle
Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professional discretion and empathy
Maintain meticulous payroll records and documentation to support internal compliance and external audits
Administer approved compensation changes related to salary reviews, promotions, and market adjustments
Support annual compensation cycles by preparing materials and tracking approvals across human resources and Finance
Manage benefits and perks programs, including GroupSource, MyHSA, Medcan, and Gusto Benefits (Cigna, Principal)
Coordinate employee enrollments, terminations, and premium deduction forecasts
Deliver benefits onboarding and education sessions for employees across North America
Administer leave-related processes, including parental, sick, and statutory leaves, ensuring accurate reflection in payroll
Coordinate workplace accommodations and disability applications (including USA maternity leave through Principal)
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Payroll & Benefits Administrator
Proven experience managing both US and Canadian payroll (Cross-border experience is mandatory)
Hands-on experience with ADP, Gusto, or equivalent cloud-based payroll platforms
Solid understanding of benefits administration (Health, Dental, 401K/RRSP, and HSA)
Experience managing leaves of absence and statutory disability applications
High level of proficiency in MS Excel for data reconciliation and forecasting
