Job Description:

We're looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This is a critical role to support our organization's digital transformation as we implement a new payroll system (either UKG or ADP). The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to not just fix problems, but to identify and resolve systemic issues.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with the migration and testing of a new payroll system
  • Provide ongoing payroll support, including the accurate processing of payroll runs
  • Support our Financial Analyst by tracking and resolving low-level payroll issues and assisting with higher-level problems
  • Identify and correct systemic errors in our current Dayforce payroll system, such as incorrect cost allocations and reporting issues
  • Conduct thorough completeness and accuracy tests on payroll data and reports
  • Be available to independently run the final payroll of the year in December

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with payroll systems
  • familiarity with Dayforce, UKG, or ADP is a plus
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve underlying systemic issues, not just individual incidents
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-motivated contributor

Nice to have:
