Job Description:

The Payroll Analyst 2 is a developing professional role. Applies specialized knowledge in payroll regulations, processes, and systems in monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and/or evaluating payroll operations, data, and compliance. Identifies gaps in policy and procedures and formulates recommendations. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Posses a good understanding of how the payroll team interacts with others (e.g., HR, Legal, Finance, external vendors, etc.) in accomplishing payroll objectives. Develops working knowledge of payroll industry practices and standards. Has limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided.

Job Responsibility:

  • Performs business analysis for HR and Payroll operations organization
  • Creates and implements internal procedures and business requirements
  • Creates and manages the business analysis and documentation of system change specifications
  • Develops and implements user application test plans
  • Executes test plans and identifies discrepancies
  • Resolves discrepancies with technical and/or business personnel, implements corrective measures, and retests as needed
  • Interprets data and makes recommendations
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area
  • Specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data
