Job Description:

Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment? We’re seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to join a growing team supporting over 200 employees. This is a newly created, permanent role offering stability, meaningful work, and an opportunity to be part of a highly engaged and supportive team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process semi-monthly payroll (and off-cycle payrolls when needed)
  • Manage employee changes, new hires, and terminations within the HRIS (UKG)
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure timely remittances to the CRA
  • Administer benefits and pension plans
  • Prepare T4s, ROEs, and other year-end documents
  • Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Partner closely with HR and Payroll team members to improve processes
  • Provide excellent internal customer service and respond to employee inquiries

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of payroll experience
  • PCP or CPM certification (National Payroll Institute)
  • Strong technical skills in HRIS systems
  • Experience with UKG is a plus
  • Experience with benefits administration and defined benefit pension plans
  • Critical thinker
  • Accuracy, agility, and problem-solving mindset
  • Value collaboration and thrive in a team

Nice to have:

  • Experience with UKG
  • Defined benefit experience such as LAPP
