We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to handle payroll and benefits for a workforce of over 300 employees, including union and non-union staff. This role is vital to ensuring accurate payroll processing and seamless benefits administration while maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. Job Responsibility:
Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, labor agreements, and relevant regulations
Apply collective bargaining agreements to calculate union deductions, benefits, and other payroll adjustments
Oversee employee benefits programs, including enrollment, updates, and compliance with legal requirements
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and benefits in a timely and meticulous manner
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity within payroll systems
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth payroll and benefits operations
Generate and review reports for payroll audits, compliance checks, and financial reconciliation
Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Troubleshoot payroll system issues and recommend improvements to optimize processes
Provide support during system upgrades or transitions, focusing on payroll-related functions
Requirements:
Proven experience managing payroll and benefits administration for large teams, including unionized employees
Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of labor contracts and collective bargaining agreements
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive payroll and benefits data
Excellent communication skills to address employee questions and collaborate with internal teams
Familiarity with accounting software and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports
Knowledge of 401(k) administration and other retirement plans
Ability to adapt to evolving processes and maintain compliance with payroll regulations
