Experiences in payroll administration
Meticulous attention to detail
Experience of using and maintaining payroll systems
In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation
Must demonstrate an unquestionable level of discretion, integrity and confidentiality
Excellent organisational and time management skills
First class communication skills and the ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

Data gathering, analysis and reporting skills
Strong excel skills, including v-lookups and pivot tables

Job Responsibility

Processing end to end monthly payroll for multiple PAYE payrolls (c1000 team members)
Reviewing and adding payroll data into the system
Processing starters, leavers, pay changes, statutory payments and benefits
Action calculations where necessary for more complex situations including, holidays and pay adjustments
Processing and submitting relevant HMRC forms
Administering multiple pension schemes
Providing a range of payroll reports as and when required
Maintaining up to date guidance notes on payroll processes
Resolving pay queries from team members and people managers
Providing support across the People Operations team as required

Job Responsibility

Assisting the payroll team to process monthly changes, pension and benefit processing
monitoring the Payroll mailbox inbox and file emails into folders as instructed
updating holiday purchase spreadsheet, checking existing purchases, inputting new holiday purchases
checking input of new starters and leavers, to include pro-rata pay and holiday adjustments
checking input of various amends into payroll
input change of address and bank details into payroll system
support leaver process e.g. adding personal email addresses and issuing payslips & P45's
support ad hoc requests and reports for the wider team

2 years experience processing a large payroll
