In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple locations while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to manage multi-state payroll processes effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to schedules
Transmit payments and associated files to appropriate parties in accordance with established deadlines
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee details, banking information, tax information, and deductions
Administer garnishments, mandatory withholdings, and other payroll deductions in compliance with regulations
Manage time and attendance processes, including assigning schedules, training managers, resetting passwords, and overseeing badge replacements
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, including general ledger entries and month-end financial statements
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and taxation across all states where the company operates
Develop and deliver payroll training programs to enhance team understanding and efficiency
Oversee annual and year-end payroll processes, including W2 preparation, tax filings, and audits
Address payroll-related inquiries promptly and provide thorough support to employees and stakeholders
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration, including full-cycle payroll processing
Proficiency in managing multi-state payroll for organizations with varying employee counts
Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems
Strong understanding of payroll processes for companies with 101-500 employees and over 500 employees
Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements
