We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support accurate and timely payroll processing for our client's organization. This role is responsible for maintaining payroll records, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations, and assisting employees with payroll-related questions.
Job Responsibility
Process weekly, biweekly, or semimonthly payroll accurately and on time
Maintain employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, tax information, and direct deposit details
Review timesheets, wage calculations, and payroll adjustments for accuracy
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and time reporting
Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end activities
Coordinate with HR and accounting teams on new hires, terminations, benefits deductions, and payroll changes
Support audits and prepare payroll documentation as needed
Requirements
2+ years of payroll processing or payroll administration experience
Knowledge of payroll systems and timekeeping software
Understanding of payroll laws, tax withholding, and compliance requirements
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or related field preferred
Nice to have
Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or comparable payroll systems is preferred
Prior experience with payroll audits, HRIS record review, or related data-quality tasks is beneficial
