We are looking for a Spanish Bilingual Payroll Administrator to support payroll operations for a growing organization in Illinois. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing reporting, data collection, and payroll-related coordination across multiple states. The role focuses on strengthening payroll administration through accurate information handling, system updates, and dependable support for the broader payroll function.
Job Responsibility:
Gather, review, and organize payroll-related data to help ensure timely and accurate payroll support activities
Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, analyze payroll information, and provide clear documentation for internal stakeholders
Assist the payroll team by maintaining employee pay records and supporting administrative tasks tied to payroll operations rather than directly running payroll cycles
Work with payroll information spanning multiple states and help verify compliance with applicable pay practices and reporting needs
Enter and reconcile payroll-related data across two systems, maintaining consistency and accuracy in a dual-entry environment
Investigate discrepancies in payroll records, follow up on missing information, and help resolve data issues efficiently
Partner with HR, finance, and other internal teams to collect required information and support smooth payroll administration
Maintain organized records and contribute to process accuracy through careful tracking, auditing, and documentation of payroll data
Requirements:
Experience supporting payroll operations in an administrative or coordination capacity
Working knowledge of multi-state payroll environments and related reporting considerations
Strong reporting skills with the ability to compile, validate, and interpret payroll data accurately
Comfort working in systems that require parallel data entry and close attention to detail
Background handling payroll for employee populations ranging from approximately 101 to 500 employees
Familiarity with full-cycle payroll processes and how upstream administrative support affects payroll accuracy
Experience using payroll or HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors HCM
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
