We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to oversee and manage payroll operations for a multi-state workforce. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees across 12 states. This position is based in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, and offers the opportunity to work independently while contributing to organizational efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Accurately process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for 600+ employees across multiple states
Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and handle payroll tax filings
Manage multi-state payroll operations and address state-specific requirements
Maintain precise records and documentation to support audits and reporting
Collaborate with management to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Monitor deadlines to ensure timely payroll submissions and tax filings
Provide support for system updates and enhancements related to payroll
Stay updated on changes in labor laws and payroll regulations to ensure compliance
Develop and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes
Act as a point of contact for payroll-related issues with employees and management
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration
Proficiency in handling multi-state payroll operations
Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and filing requirements
Experience with full-cycle payroll processes
Familiarity with Paylocity or similar payroll systems is preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management
Ability to meet strict deadlines and work efficiently under pressure
