We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator / Payroll Supervisor to join a growing and dynamic Long Island company. This role involves managing the weekly payroll for over 100 employees, including union and certified payroll processes. Job Responsibility:
Process weekly payroll for a workforce of over 100 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Handle union payroll procedures, including adherence to specific regulations, requirements and reporting
Manage certified payroll reporting and maintain documentation for prevailing wage projects
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Maintain detailed and organized payroll records for auditing and reporting purposes
Monitor and implement changes to payroll policies and procedures as needed
Prepare and submit payroll reports in a timely manner
Provide guidance on payroll matters to employees and management
Utilize inhouse payroll software to streamline and optimize payroll processes
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll administration, including full-cycle payroll
Proficiency in managing union payroll and familiarity with related regulations
Demonstrated expertise in certified payroll and prevailing wage documentation
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws
Experience with in-house payroll systems and processes
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with employees and management
