We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Pleasanton, California. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to manage payroll operations for a diverse employee base of over 1000+ individuals across multiple states. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll systems, multi-state compliance, and advanced Excel capabilities, ensuring smooth and accurate payroll processes.
Job Responsibility:
Process payroll on a semi-monthly or bi-weekly basis for over 1000 employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Utilize SAP SuccessFactors as the primary payroll platform, supporting system activities such as data validation, testing, and troubleshooting
Train and assist team members and end-users in the functionalities of SAP SuccessFactors
Maintain accurate payroll records, conduct audits, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Prepare detailed payroll reports and analytics using advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and custom formulas
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless data integration and accurate reporting
Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance and assigning tasks during system transitions
Develop comprehensive documentation and training materials to support updated payroll procedures and workflows
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role managing payroll for large employee populations
Strong proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors payroll modules and experience with system conversions
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros
Comprehensive knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance, including union and non-union processing
Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities with strong communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise staff effectively
Experience in developing training materials and supporting system testing processes
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and deliver high-quality results
