We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to support accurate and timely payroll operations for a multi-state employee population in Lockport, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage full-cycle payroll with a high level of precision, maintain compliance with applicable regulations, and provide dependable support to employees and internal stakeholders. The role requires hands-on experience processing payroll for an organization with 101 to 500 employees and strong familiarity with ADP Workforce Now.
Job Responsibility:
Process end-to-end payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring pay is completed accurately and on schedule
Review timekeeping, earnings, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings to confirm payroll data is complete and compliant before each cycle is finalized
Maintain employee payroll records and update changes related to compensation, benefits, direct deposit, and tax information in the payroll system
Use ADP Workforce Now to administer payroll transactions, generate reports, and support routine payroll auditing activities
Research and resolve payroll discrepancies by working with employees, managers, and internal partners to address issues promptly
Prepare payroll-related documentation and reports to support recordkeeping, reconciliations, and compliance requirements
Monitor adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations and apply updates to payroll processing practices as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll from initial data review through final payroll submission and post-payroll reconciliation
Hands-on knowledge of multi-state payroll processing and related tax and compliance requirements
Experience administering payroll for a workforce of approximately 101 to 500 employees
Practical proficiency with ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing and reporting
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive payroll information accurately and confidentially
Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and correct payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
Clear communication skills for collaborating with employees and internal stakeholders on payroll-related matters
