We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team in El Segundo, California. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic freight and logistics environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing payroll operations and supporting HR administrative functions, ensuring compliance and accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
Job Responsibility:
Process end-to-end payroll for both hourly and salaried employees using Paycom, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Review and audit payroll data, including timekeeping records, deductions, and employee information, to identify and resolve discrepancies
Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, including setting up new team members in payroll systems and managing employee records
Maintain employee files in compliance with labor regulations and company policies
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to prepare accurate payroll reports and reconciliations
Support benefits administration processes and generate payroll-related documentation as required
Handle employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and other HR-related matters
Ensure adherence to wage and hour laws, payroll compliance standards, and best practices
Manage administrative HR tasks such as document organization and reporting in alignment with company requirements
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration
Proficiency in using Paycom for payroll processing is required
Familiarity with multi-state payroll and compliance regulations
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Experience in high-volume or logistics environments is preferred
Knowledge of wage and hour laws, payroll compliance, and best practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll-related systems
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
