We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Tempe, Arizona. In this role, you will oversee payroll processes, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, prevailing wage laws, and collective bargaining agreements. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll administration and labor compliance, particularly within the construction industry.
Job Responsibility:
Process full-cycle payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Manage certified payroll reporting, adhering to prevailing wage laws and the Davis-Bacon Act
Review and audit payroll data to maintain compliance with collective bargaining agreements and labor regulations
Utilize payroll systems, such as ADP Workforce Now, to track and maintain accurate employee records
Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Monitor and implement changes in labor compliance regulations and public works requirements
Prepare detailed reports and documentation for audits and compliance reviews
Ensure high standards of accuracy in payroll processing and reporting to meet regulatory requirements
Analyze payroll data to identify trends and improve efficiency in payroll operations
Provide training and support to staff on payroll policies and procedures
Requirements:
Certification in Labor Compliance or Payroll Administration, such as CPP (Certified Payroll detail oriented)
At least 3–5 years of experience in labor compliance, public works compliance, or union payroll administration
Extensive knowledge of prevailing wage laws, the Davis-Bacon Act, and certified payroll reporting
Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and multi-state labor regulations
Proficiency in using certified payroll software and systems like ADP Workforce Now
Strong analytical skills with the ability to audit payroll data effectively
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in regulatory compliance
Experience managing payroll for an organization with 101–500 employees
