Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Concord, California. This position requires expertise in managing payroll functions for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment and demonstrate exceptional organizational skill

Job Responsibility:

Administer payroll for a workforce of over 500 employees, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Handle payroll deductions, including garnishments. 401K contributions, and benefits adjustments a plus
Oversee unemployment claims and insurance billing processes with precision
Manage employee benefits-related payroll tasks, ensuring compliance and proper documentation
Utilize Paychex and ADP Workforce Now systems to streamline payroll operations efficiently
Maintain meticulous records and audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Develop and implement procedures to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency
Prioritize tasks effectively in a multi-functional, deadline-driven environment

Requirements:

Proven experience in payroll administration for large teams, preferably over 500 employees
Proficiency in payroll systems such as Paychex and ADP Workforce Now
Strong knowledge of payroll deductions, including garnishments, 401K, and benefits
Familiarity with unemployment claims and insurance billing processes
Exceptional organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
In-depth understanding of payroll compliance regulations
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal teams
