We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team on a contract basis in Dayton, Ohio. In this role, you will manage payroll operations with precision and efficiency, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations while maintaining the confidentiality of employee information. The position requires expertise in Paycom software and a strong commitment to detail and accuracy.
Job Responsibility:
Process payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedule using Paycom to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, pay rate adjustments, and benefit changes
Review and validate timekeeping data, ensuring hours are correctly entered and approved
Perform payroll reconciliations and verify reports prior to transmission
Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, timesheets, and discrepancies promptly and professionally
Generate and distribute payroll reports as requested by management or finance teams
Stay informed of federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance
Assist with audits related to payroll processes and documentation
Support year-end payroll activities, including preparation of W-2s and other required statements
Monitor updates to Paycom software and incorporate improvements into payroll operations when applicable
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role, with expertise in Paycom software
Thorough understanding of payroll practices, compliance requirements, and best practices
Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for resolving payroll-related issues
Knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and laws is preferred
Prior experience managing payroll for 100+ employees is an advantage
Familiarity with payroll accounting and reporting processes is desirable
